Chelsea, Spurs play out an uneventful goalless draw at Stamford Bridge

I predicted an open & high-scoring game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, but I guess it was not meant to be.

The highly anticipated match between the London clubs was uneventful to say the least.

To be perfectly honest, it was of the most uninteresting matches of the season, & surprisingly so.

That being said, I was not the to forecast goals aplenty between Chelsea & Spurs on Saturday afternoon.

Nevertheless, Spurs surely got the better result at Stamford Bridge.

In fact, the Objective.com Bet of the Day on Saturday was both teams to score at 8/13 (one.62) with William Hill.

Furthermore, Spurs have the simpler remaining schedule between the sides & do not must face any team ahead of them in the table for the remainder of their campaign.

The north London club maintained their five-point lead over Chelsea in the race for fourth place, with only eight English Premier League games remaining for each club.

In addition, Chelsea are still in the UEFA Champions League, which could potentially distract them from getting the results they need to finish in the top.

On the other side of the touchline, Chelsea still must travel to the Emirates & Anfield to battle Arsenal & Liverpool respectively.

Thus, at the moment, Chelsea are surely the dark horse to get the last Champions League qualifying place, while Spurs are in the drivers stool as they say.

I think its a step in the right direction after the results that weave been having. Hopefully they can take that forward now & push on, Walker told Sky Sports after Saturday's goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.

There's eight games to go so it's going to be difficult they know that with the teams in the Premier League, it's not simple going to places , but we've got to keep believing in ourselves as a squad, as a team, & hopefully well get to the top.

Spurs right-back has definitely got the right attitude & confidence to propel Spurs to the Champions League for the second time in seasons. Now it's a matter of getting the job completed, which is much harder that in sounds, as Walker has already suggested.

I think, with the people weave got in the changing room, they can damage any team, so it's a matter of putting the trust in them & going to get the goals.
